Wayne Memorial Caring for the Community with Red Cross Blood Drive March 15
Jesup, GA – Wayne Memorial Hospital will host a community blood drive with the American Red Cross on Tuesday, March 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the bloodmobile located in the hospital’s parking lot near the Cafeteria. Donors of all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, B negative and A negative. According to the Red Cross, type O negative is the universal blood type that can be safely transfused to anyone, and is often used to treat trauma patients.
All presenting donors will be entered to win a $25 gift card from the hospital as show of appreciation. Wayne Memorial Hospital, whose mission is to provide high quality health care services to all patients, built a state-of-the-art facility in 2007. It is the fourth largest employer in Wayne County with 400 employees, 84 beds and is a two-time winner of the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals Small Hospital of the Year Award.
