Blood Drive Thursday, March 31 at Wayne Memorial Hospital

Quick update with some initial results from the blood drive here yesterday. Shortly after the blood drive ended at 4 pm, 46 units of blood had been collected and some donors were still finishing up. The goal of the drive was 40 units. Thank you for helping make this effort a success. What a way to welcome The Blood Connection to our part of the state for the first time!

The Blood Connection has now increased the gift that all donors will receive from their first blood drive here 3/31. They are adding an additional $25 eGift card to the already advertised $20 eGift card for a total of $45 in eGift cards. One unique fact about this drive – the blood collected here returns here.

People may make appointments by scanning the QR code with their phone’s camera, calling 864-751-1154, or logging on to thebloodconnection.org. Appointments take precedence over walk-ins but walk-ins will certainly be accepted. Additionally, The Blood Connection personnel will be masked on the bloodmobile.

The Blood Connection (TBC), an independently managed, non-profit community blood center is now a supplemental blood provider for Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup, Georgia. Their first blood drive at Wayne Memorial Hospital’s parking lot will be held Thursday, March 31 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All donors will receive a $20 eGift card from The Blood Connection. The bloodmobile will be located on the right side of the main parking lot, near the cafeteria. To make an appointment to donate blood at this drive, log on to thebloodconnection.org/donate or call (864) 751-1154.
