Ancillary Departments

Admissions/Registering at WMH:

Patients and visitors will quickly notice our convenient patient admissions area and patient testing area, which includes Admissions, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Pre-Surgery Interview Area and two Phlebotomy stations. Upon entering the doors at WMH, a patient access coordinator (PAC) will be at the front information desk to help patients with our Qmatic Admissions System. The system is designed to route patients through the admissions process. The PAC will instruct patients on which ticket to select from the Qmatic System and will guide them to the admission waiting area. When registering at WMH, patients are asked to bring photo identification, social security card, driver’s license, insurance card and any paperwork given by the physician’s office. After registering in one of the admission stations, the patient will go to the right of the information desk to the check-in window at the Outpatient Waiting Area.

Health Information Services:

The Health Information Services (HIS), formerly know as Medical Records, is located on the first floor, adjacent to the WMH cafeteria. Patients may obtain only their own medical information and must sign a release in order to obtain records. Please contact the HIS and request records prior to coming to the hospital. By calling ahead, records and the HIS Release Forms can be retrieved and prepared prior to the date of pick-up, allowing for faster processing for patients.

Patient Financial Services:

The Patient Financial Services (PFS), formerly known as the Billing Office, is inside the Wayne Memorial Hospital Annex, which is located to the back left of the hospital on Peachtree Street . The door for the PFS is on the front left side of the building. The Annex is the only location available to pay invoices from 8am until 4pm Monday through Friday. After normal business hours and on holidays or weekends, invoices may be paid at the main hospital emergency department registration desk.
