Outpatient Rehabilitation Center:
The services of our expansive rehabilitation department are available in two different locations to maximize service and convenience! A freestanding Outpatient Rehabilitation Center is located on the Wayne Memorial Campus and the inpatient rehab is located on the third floor of the main hospital structure. Rehabilitation Services, Lymphatic Drainage, Industrial Rehabilitation, and Physician-based Wound Care are easily accessible for outpatients requiring therapy as well as programs such as the newly developed Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinic. Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Pathology are available and other therapies such as a spine-stabilization program are on the horizon. Inside the hospital, the inpatient rehabilitation center offers the same advanced rehabilitation services in an area convenient for patients requiring hospitalization.
The Nutrition Therapy Department:
Some patients require the services of a registered dietitian as part of his/her care plan. Patients with special nutritional needs or diabetes may require special meals while in the hospital and/or education on the foods prepared at home. Another service of the Nutrition Therapy Department isFree Diabetes Education Classesheld at the WMH Annex in the Education Classroom on the second Wednesday of each month from 9am until 11am . This class is free to participants and everyone is invited to attend. No pre-registration is required for the class. The Respiratory Therapy Department:
The Respiratory Therapy Department at WMH works with both outpatients and inpatients to provide numerous testing/services concerning the heart and lungs. For both outpatients and inpatients this department provides such tests as the stress test, EKG and Echo Cardiograms. They also monitor and regulate ventilators, distribute breathing treatments and other services for inpatients.
